Tests for pregnant women
Tests for pregnant women are conducted to ensure the health of the expectant mother and fetus and to detect possible changes during pregnancy in a timely manner. They help assess the progress of pregnancy, monitor bodily changes, and make informed medical decisions.
During pregnancy, laboratory, ultrasound, and genetic tests are performed, selected individually based on the pregnancy period, the woman’s health condition, and the doctor’s recommendations.
Genetic tests (PRISCA and NIPT) allow for the assessment of the risk of fetal chromosomal abnormalities. The PRISCA test is usually performed as a first or second trimester screening, while NIPT is a highly accurate, non-invasive blood test available from the 10th week of pregnancy. Both tests are safe for both the mother and the fetus and help provide more clarity at the beginning of pregnancy.
